Hi Year 2 families,
Next week (5.3.18 – 9.3.18), we will be having a practise SATS week in school. This is nothing to worry about! We often find that the children enjoy having these practise weeks in school. Here is our proposed timetable.
Tuesday– Arithmetic Paper (Maths)
Wednesday – Reasoning Paper (Maths)
Thursday – Reading Paper 1 (shorter text)
Friday – Reading Paper 2 (longer text)
Daily – Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar questions
We will be practising the arithmetic and reasoning papers for maths, both the shorter and longer reading tasks and a spelling, punctuation and grammar test.
We will administer the tests in ‘test conditions’. This means we will separate the tables, cover the learning walls and work in silence. This will really help to prepare the children for the real SATS in May and get them used to taking tests in the expected way.
